FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

How Long Does It Take To Roof My House?

In most cases, the work takes one day depending on the size of the home if it is large or a steeply pitched roof it could take 2 days. The scheduling, getting the insurance adjuster out to assess the damages can take as little as a week or as long as a few weeks depending on the insurance companies’ schedule, then the supplier delivery schedule, and how far out we are on our schedule to start re-roofing your home.

How long will my new roof last?

The shingles will last the life expectancy of the product which is 30 years according to the manufacturer’s warranty when it is installed properly by a professionally licensed company like ourselves and has proper ventilation. But with hail storms here in Colorado it could be 5-10 years or if your area is hit often by hail maybe 2 years.

Do I need to be home when the work is performed?
No, you don’t have to be home, if you’re okay with us working while you’re out, as long as we have access to perform the work, clean up when finished and you remove anything that could fall off of walls, ledges or loose fixtures from the pounding and vibration that can be caused during roof installation.

How Much will it cost?
The only cost to you is your deductible in addition to any upgrades if it is an insurance claim, it is illegal for a contractor to waive, rebate or credit an insurance deductible according to the law which Governor Hickenlooper passed 06/06/2012 which is called consumer protection Bill SB-38. If it is a cash bid and not an insurance claim it depends on the square footage of the house, if it is 2 stories, steep, and the type of material you’re looking for, it would be a pleasure to guide you and give you recommendations and options.
